ANFGC Halifax History

On 12th October 2008, ANFGC Halifax had its first service at 2A Wildwood Avenue,Halifax with 6 people in attendance. In February 2009, the church moved to the Lutheran Church of the resurrection on 2096 Windsor St. with 20 members. The church steadily grew even after an unfortunate breaking away and raised new leaders and even hosted a District convention in 2012. Pastor Daniel Gahunde served as Pastor from March 2012 to June 2015 and laid a good foundation for this growth. Between December 2015, and September 2017, the resident pastor at the time, Pastor Emmanuel Kuatsidzo led the church to begin saving towards obtaining our own building, as the church continued to grow. By December 2018 it had become obvious that a bigger meeting space was needed, and the church leadership began a search for a temporary home for ANFGC Halifax.

On March 22nd, 2019, All Nations Full Gospel Church, Halifax held its first service at a new location: 6036 Coburg Road in the lower gym of the St. Andrews United Church. The church was blessed at this location to expand the children’s church, a youth church, revamp the connect church and multiply to 25 cells. At this time, the church board had drawn up a 5-year plan and began praying towards purchasing our own property. With amazing support from the Senior Pastor and the Denomination, we were able to map out what type of property would meet our needs into the future. In December 2022, after 5 years of looking around Halifax, God blessed us with a building at 2010 Purcells Cove Road where we are meeting today.

This is a 2.01-acre property with a church building occupying 4,500 square ft of the lot with a sizeable parking lot adjacent to it. In all, the ground floor, basement, and loft provide a total of 9500 square feet of space. The property was previously, the St. Augustine Anglican church of Jollimore and has been home to a lovely community of believers ever since it was completed in 1964. In answer to prayer, the building will continue to be a house of worship for our Lord Jesus.

Here we are celebrating the goodness of God. Let’s celebrate, lets support the vision, let’s build the House of God.
Isaiah 2:2 “And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it”
